New work in Different Dimensions RQAS 4-22 Feb 2021

In Full Flight

In my previous exhibition, In Full Flight, I explored notions of freedom and its loss through a series of etchings, watercolours and mixed media 2D and 3D work. Inspired by my Father’s wartime and family experiences and reflecting on the ongoing refugee crisis, I used images of bird and cage, tunnels and towers, boat and water to highlight different journeys of flight.

FLIGHT PATH – 5th-28th May 2017 at The Old Friary 139 Brookfield Road, Kenmore Hills, 4069

Exhibition of new and recent works inspired by stories from my father. Themes of freedom and its loss were explored in a series of 2D and 3D works, that included watercolours, etchings, mixed media and rice paper bowls. Images of bird and cage, journey and escape were incorporated in layered narratives that sought to evoke emotion, memory and imagination in the viewer.

White Vessels

View to the Rocks

Percolator Gallery134 Latrobe Tce, Paddington

23 September to 6 October 2014

A recent exhibition about examining memory and imagination. The vessel is used as a recurring emblem. Alone or grouped in suites on the edge of the pictorial space the vessels become metaphors for the human form observing the passing of life.
Works explore a variety of media, including collage and oil on ply, rice paper bowls, etchings, lithographs and woodcuts.
